Wartime in the Vale is held at the Ashdown WW2 Camp

At Wartime in the Vale you will get a great mix of WW1 & WW2 displays. Starting with dioramas put together by reenactors and enthusiasts. You can then browse a large selection of military vehicles of varying shapes and sizes whilst watching a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flyover overhead. It really is a fantastic weekend out.

Whats on

Normally in attendance are over 500 military vehicles, 60+ traders selling varying items of militaria, vintage clothing, uniforms, vehicle parts and much more. Of course you also have the Ashdown Camp WW2 encampment museum next-door. There is an extensive list of vehicles and reenactor groups in attendance at each show so you will be spoilt for choice.

If you should chose to, you can even camp on site for the entire weekend. This requires an advance booking, but means you can get into the thick of the event all across the weekend. It also means there is no rush!
