Militaria Shows This Weekend 02/09/22

Every Thursday we compile a list of the upcoming militaria shows worldwide. This weekend (02/09/22) – Labour Day weekend in the US -, we have shows in the UK, Belgium and the USA, as well as a couple of smaller midweek fairs next week. We will also include these.

United Kingdom –The Victory Show

The Victory Show is a fabulous all around military show focused on the 1940s, right in the middle of England, in Leicester. The Foxlands Farm, where the show is held, is easily accessible from the whole country, being right next to the M1 motorway.

This whole-weekend-long show boasts over 200 military vehicles and more than 70 reenactment groups. The Friday starts off as a ‘School Educational Day’ and prices are somewhat cheaper to enter on this day due to no airshow or reenactment being organised for this day. Saturday and Sunday will both be jam-packed days full of flyover displays including a Hurricane, and reenactment battles of WW2. Saturday there will be a 1940s dinner dance, but tickets for this seem to have been sold out already. All weekend there will be dozens of stalls as well, so there’s bound to be something for militaria collectors.

Overall, it looks like a great weekend for anyone interested in WW2 history or militaria.

For more information, visit the show’s website or Facebook page, or contact them via email.

United Kingdom – Wakefield Medal Fair

The Wakefield Medal Fair is held in West Yorkshire monthly (except January) and there are more than 40 stalls every time. While you can find some other militaria, it is predominantly a medal fair and is organised by The Medal Centre. If you’re into the subject and live in the area, it’s definitely worth popping in. Entry is only £2 and you never know what you will find.

United Kingdom – Kempton Vintage & Classic Arms Fair

Held at the Kempton Racecourse multiple times a year, this fair boasts more than 120 stallholders. They sell predominantly vintage and collectible weapons, but there is always a lot more, including all sorts of militaria. Considering the first fair was only held 5 years ago, this show has grown quite nicely and it’s always busy with visitors. There are tons of facilities in the vicinity, as well as food & drinks within the venue.

United Kingdon – New Forest Militaria Fair

Held on the first Wednesday of the month in the evening, this is a lovely little fair in Hampshire. Entry is only £1 and there are also refreshments; cakes, coffee, tea, etc available – as well as of course: militaria! Some of the dealers are regularly present but there are frequently local collectors selling off their collections as well, as tables are only £6.

Belgium – Bourse Militaire, Wavre

The Wavre Militaria Fair is held on the first Saturday of the month, every month. Entry for the public is completely free, so it’s definitely worth a look if you happen to be in the vicinity. Doors open at 7am and the fair is on until 12pm (noon). It is strictly a militaria fair so you won’t find any old flea market items here. At the show you will always find a fantastic range of medals, uniforms, helmets, relics, badges, vehicle parts and much more.

Belgium – Arlon Militaria

This show is on every other month and this month it happens to be on the Sunday after the aforementioned Wavre fair. Being only 1.5 hours from each other, you could easily visit both of them on the same weekend. Arlon is just off the Belgian border with Luxembourg.

Entry is free for women and children (under 16) and €10 for men. Doors open at 9.15am and close at 12.30pm. They currently have around 120 sellers registered with the show organisers so it’s bound to be a busy fair.

United States, IN – World War II Remembrance Days

The Indiana Military Museum in Vincennes, Indiana regularly hosts events. This weekend it is hosting a weekend-long remembrance to honour the soldiers of WW2. Packed with reenactments, historical displays, uniform demonstrations, sale of militaria, vehicle parade, meet-and-greet with WW2 veterans, and much more. The show also has tons to do and see for children so it is the perfect family day out.

All outdoor activities are free but if you also want to visit the museum, entrance fees apply ($8 per adults, or $20 for a yearly pass that grants you unlimited visits).

United States, IN – Newburgh Military Swap & Sale

Yet another event in the state of Indiana, the 1st Wednesday Gun / Military Swap & Sale does exactly what it says on the tin. Held on the 1st Wednesday of each month, you can find all sorts of gun and militaria collectible items here. It is organised by the Evansville Military Collectibles Club, who organise a few other events across the year. You do have to be a member to attend this show, but the fee being only $15 a year, it is definitely worth to join if you live in the local area. The swap & sale itself is free for members.

At MilitariaToday we have compiled the world’s most extensive militaria fairs and events list. We strive to be as accurate as we can. However, all events are subject to change, so we recommend checking with the event organisers before travelling, in case of any last-minute changes. We cover a worldwide market, so it can be hard to keep up with last-minute amendments.

Know of a show that’s not on our list?

Our fairs list is completely free for all users and show organisers! So if you know of a militaria fair, show, car boot sale, reenactment or other event that is not on our list, just get in touch and we will happily add it to our list and promote the event on our social media. Please send any submissions via our contact us page. We want to build the most complete worldwide list available.
