Every Thursday we compile a list of the upcoming militaria shows worldwide. After 20 world-wide shows last weekend we again have a busy weekend (30/09/22). This weekend we have 13 shows across the world including the US and UK as almost always but then also shows in Belgium and Denmark. So as always, get out and support your local show. There is nothing better than handling militaria in person and shows are the best place to do this.
Thetford Militaria Fair – UK
With over 120 tables consistently, the Thetford Militaria Fair is a staple of east coast dealers and collectors alike. Running out of the Thetford Leisure Centre with over 400 parking spaces on site, it makes for an ideal show to visit. Operated by Susan Wright from Norfolk Fairs, this well established show has been running nor for over 9 years.
The show has easy access off the A11 and just on the Suffolk / Norfolk border so is easy to access from North London or Southern Yorkshire. Across the stalls you will find a wide array of militaria from badges, medals and uniforms through to ordinance, deactivated weapons and general equipment. Theres always a nice selection on display. Petersfield Militaria Fair – UK
Bringing together a mix of Antique, Militaria and Vintage items, the Petersfield Militaria Fair has it all under one roof!
A relatively new show overall having only started in 2020 the Petersfield Militaria Fair is a fantastic mix of subjects. You will always find a variety of items from stalls selling vintage jewellery to stalls of WW2 militaria. Started as a passion project by Sara Hughes, the fair is one of very few shows held in Hampshire making it a must for anyone in the area.
With free parking on the Sunday and a great refreshments booth. It’s a lovely morning out.
The entry fee is £2 per adult, children free.

Keston Militaria Fair – UK
Keston is a local militaria fair in Kent, UK with a large selection of Badges, Edged Weapons, Uniforms, Headgear, Medals, Ephemera and everything in between, from all countries and periods of history. The show helps to aid Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Wakefield Medal Fair – UK
Operated by The Medal Centre, the Wakefield Medal Fair runs monthly other than January when there is no show. You will find 40 tables covering a large selection of medals covering anything from gallantry sets to single defence medals. On sale you will also find a selection of militaria, badges and more.

Militaria Collectors Meeting – Jutland – Demark
Organised by the Dansk Militaria Foreign (DMF) These events are officially members only. It is possible to become a member via the website.
The meetings are an opportunity for private collectors to show, sell and exchange their militaria items, medals and historical literature.

The National Gun Day & JAG Military Fair – USA
The show is a huge gun show featuring over 1600 8ft tables at the Kentucky Expo centre. Given such a huge venue, this is a full day out at the National Gun Day & JAG Military Fair. Whilst the main subject is not Militaria as such, there is of course a lot of cross over with Militaria collectables and gun shows. So with an event of this size, you will likely find some fantastic military collectables.
Please remember with all gun shows. All local, state and federal weapons laws must be followed.

The Livonia Militaria Show – USA
A great regional show featuring 80 8 foot tables full of helmets, medals, badges, edged weapons, paperwork, equipment and so much more. Collector, trader or just general enthusiast, you will find something of interest here.

The Colorado Militaria Collector & Gun Show – USA
At the Colorado Militaria Collector & Gun Show you can expect to find a great mix of items. Well located just off I-25. Of course all local & federal weapons laws must be followed at all times. But for the militaria collector, theres a lot to look at. Sellers of helmets, uniforms, trench art, field gear, medals, badges and much more are in attendance.

Bourse Militaire Wavre – Belgium
The Bourse Militaire in Wavre is a long-standing show in Belgium. Operating on the first Saturday of each month, this regular show hosts a wide selection of WW1 and WW2 memorabilia. At the show you will always find a fantastic range of medals, uniforms, helmets, relics, badges, vehicle parts and much more. The sale of weapons and ammunition is strictly regulated so please do your research on what local laws permit.
To book a table, you will need to purchase a membership for €30 a year, and then tables are €20 each (or €100 for the year if you want to sell at multiple bourses). The show is open to the public from 7am until 12pm (noon) and entry is FREE for visitors. It is strictly a militaria fair, no flea market-type antiques are allowed to be sold. Dealers must be on site and set up between 8am and 12, but they can set up from 6am and have until 2pm to pack everything up.

The New Forest Militaria Fair is a monthly military show in Hampshire – UK
The fair is held on the first Wednesday of the month, every month (bar the odd exception). A great local collectors’ fair held in the Colbury Church rooms from 6pm – 9pm. With a few regular local dealers and always a new collector or two selling, it always makes for a nice evening out in the New Forest.

Tables are only £6 for the evening with outdoor pitches available, weather permitting. Plus the added bonus of refreshments throughout.

1st Wednesday Gun / Military Swap & Sale – USA
As the title suggest, the 1st Wednesday Gun / Military Swap & Sale is held on the 1st Wednesday of each month in Newburgh, Indiana. On paper it is a members-only event; however, becoming a member is only $15 a year and well worth it to visit the shows regularly. With your membership you will receive a discount on entry to all of the collectors club’s events, plus discounts on having a table at the larger military & gun shows.
